what makes her an awesome tutor
I am able to see and explain problems from multiple angles. For example, if you’re not getting the answer your teacher is looking for, I’ll be able to understand not only your answer (and why you’re getting it), but also the answer they expect, and how to help you get to it.
Life Goal: To help everyone to learn what they’re good at and what makes them happy, and to encourage them to pursue those goals while providing them with the tools to do so. Also, to always keep learning and applying new skills.
Words to Live By: “The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.” – Michelangelo
Favourite Mathematical Weapon: Just a basic pencil & paper for drawing a diagram/legend on paper! When you translate the math problem in front of you to an image, it becomes a lot easier to create a roadmap to the solution.

Education: I’m a PhD student at OISE with a Master of Education from University of Alberta and a BFA in Critical and Creative Writing at Emily Carr.
Fave Tech device: Any kind of headphones for use with a phone. Anytime I take public transit, headphones and my phone are key so I can enjoy the ride with some nice background music.
Fave Book: One of my favourite books is The Elegant Universe because it does a great job of making sub quantum mechanics just sound like a fun story.
Fave Song: 1979 by The Smashing Pumpkins
Fave Outfit: Something comfortable and simple, like a t-shirt, jeans, and a jacket with a sweater
Fave TV Show: The Great British Bake-Off
When you're not crunching numbers: In the summer I cycle and in the winter I snowboard. Otherwise I am spending time with friends and family or listening to one of my favourite podcasts.
What's the best thing about you? When other people have a goal, I’m the person that always asks them how they want to achieve it and what they need to learn/achieve in order to make it happen!
I love school and went into Education so I never have to leave!
