what makes her an awesome tutor
I am extremely patient and calm. I have learned through my years of tutoring that these traits are very important. I always encourage students to continue asking questions or speak up when they are confused. I am always willing to go over the math problem as many times as needed. I am very adaptive; if my student does not understand certain steps, I am able to introduce other methods until we find the technique that they are comfortable with and understand well.
Life Goal: To become a university science professor! I love teaching and working with students, but I am also interested in science research. This profession is a perfect combination! This goal is challenging, but very exciting. It always reminds me to think big and push myself!
Words to live by: “If you hear a voice within you say you cannot paint, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.” – Vincent Van Gogh
Favourite mathematical weapon: Graph paper! I’ve realized that completing math work on lined paper is not very versatile. You can easily draw graphs to scale within your notes or solutions when you use graph paper. It also helps to align your work and keep things organized!

Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelors of Science at Ryerson University, with a major in Chemistry.
Favourite tech device: My iPhone. I am forever team Apple
Fave book: I am more of a math person than a literature person. But the most recent book I read was Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari… And anything Aziz Ansari related is gold.
Favourite band: I don’t have a favourite band, unless I go back to my childhood days when I was obsessed with N’SYNC. My favourite artists now are J Cole and Banks!
Favourite song: I have too many! Any R&B song from the early 2000s…
Favourite outfit: My mom was recently giving away lilac high-waisted pants from the 90’s. So, I made an outfit with them by combining them with a trendy top and cute shoes. It’s definitely the most creative I’ve gotten with fashion and it turned out well!
Favourite TV Show: Big Brother and How to Get Away with Murder
Fave Movie: Home Alone
When you’re not crunching numbers: I am probably doing pilates or going on a run, watching shows on Netflix, trying out different food places in the city, or hanging out with my family and friends!
What’s the best thing about you? I am very open-minded! I am not one to judge and so you never have to be afraid to talk to me. My open-mindedness also encourages me to step out of my comfort zone and try new things.
I genuinely enjoy the challenge of solving trigonometric identity problems!
