what makes him an awesome tutor
I really enjoy helping other people understand how to solve problems. This means that I am extremely patient and will happily take someone through a math problem as many times as they need until they understand it. I enjoy the process of changing the way that I explain the problem and seeing how it helps someone else understand.
I also really enjoy the moment where someone finally understands what they have been working so hard to understand. It is a great feeling for the student and an extremely rewarding feeling for me!
Life Goal: To travel all around the world and experience different cultures. I really want to travel to New Zealand and see what it is like to live in a place where everything is slower and less busy than Toronto.
Words to Live By: “The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.” - Buddha
Favourite Mathematical Weapon: A pencil, eraser and a piece of paper. Some people try to look at math problems on their computer and work it out in their head. I have no idea how anyone can do this as I cannot think properly without writing things down. I find that writing math problems out step by step by hand and then erasing or changing the answer is really helpful. Trying to write out as many steps as you can in the process is also a great way to improve your math solving skills as you get used to it!

In highschool i loved solving word problems that involved algebra. Setting up the equation was always so interesting and then factoring and solving for x always gave me a rush. Then there is nothing better than going through a long process, not knowing if you did it right and seeing that you did!
