what makes her an awesome tutor

I think math and science can be super interesting, and I want to help other students gain enthusiasm and confidence in these subjects! I know that having someone solve a problem in front of you is not always helpful, and that it can often be discouraging to try to memorize and replicate someone else’s steps. I understand that the best way to learn is to, with guidance, figure out how to solve a problem yourself, so that not only are you able to solve similar ones later, but so that you understand why your steps work. I know that everyone is able to do this, and that it is a very rewarding feeling to realize that you can.

fun facts

Life Goal: I don’t know yet what my life goal is! Ultimately, I want to end up doing something I enjoy and am passionate about, whatever that may be.

Words to Live By: “As I always say, no guts, no digestion.” – Ms. Frizzle, The Magic School Bus

Favourite Mathematical Weapon: A pencil and paper! It can be very hard to visualize a problem in your head, and it is often helpful to write down everything you know before tackling a problem.
