what makes her an awesome tutor
I like to be very honest and share my own personal experiences to create a comfortable inclusive environment where no one should be afraid to make mistakes. Everyone struggles in something at first, but there is much potential in each one of us! After all, skills are learned, not born with. I’m also very willing to explore many different mediums and techniques of framing problems to enable the individual to independently solve problems. I come from a diverse educational background in neuroscience, psychology, philosophy, linguistics and computer science which enables me to see the problems in many different perspectives.
Life Goal: To have a deeper understanding of the mind and our cognitive capacities to optimize human functionality and enrich education research/teaching.
Words to Live By: “Live in such a way that if anyone should speak badly of you no one would believe it.”
Favourite Mathematical Weapon: Always start off by framing the question to something you can work with, be it ‘solve this quadratic’, or a word problem. Highlight important numbers and variables first. Write out what’s given, and define variables and what’s needed to be solved/outcome. Then figure out which equations or techniques you can apply to the given variables to get closer to the solution! This goes long ways, trust me. :)

What's the best thing about you? I find it very hard to say ‘No’. If you ask me to do something (even if nobody else wants to do it) and it’s in my capacity to do it, I couldn’t say ‘No’. :)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE solving regex crosswords, and when I’m bored I will go online and solve math riddles too! I also enjoy Sudoku, crosswords and word searches. :)
